COMMफIESTA 2.0

Glimpse of the events organized during the Fest

Commpact fabricated and delivered its second iteration of ‘CommTalks’. The event featured a line of four eminent speakers from different walks of life, with each of them bringing different sets of proficiencies to the table. It was successful in helping students discover their potential and outgrow themselves.

It was an event that required high analytical and logical intellect. The event tested the cricketing knowledge of the participants. It alone had the participation from various colleges of DU and IPU. The event was riddled with various rules which made the participants think on their feet and apply mathematical knowledge in a very competitive environment to overcome their competitors.

Commpact in collaboration with BSE Institute organized ‘The Boggart’s Trade’. It started at around 2:00 P.M. in room 505 in the 5th Block. The rules and concepts of the whole event were explained to all the participants by a professional from BSE Institute, Mr.Harbinder Singh. The event was a replica of the real-life stock market with all the elements of smart trading.

Commpact enthralled the students with its mystical game, “Wizard’s Frolic”, a board game. The theme of the game revolved around the ‘Magical Elements’ of Harry Potter and the Wizarding World. It took place between the 3rd and 5th block at around 12:30 PM. After all the teams reached the endpoint on the board, the total number of a golden galleon (wizarding currency) with each team was totaled by the society members. The team that had the maximum number of Golden Galleons at the end of the game was declared as the winner.

Commpact organized a game upon the theme of negotiations, “The Dragon Alley”, or in simpler terms “The Negotiation Table”. The game took place in Room No. 347 at 1:30 pm. All the participants were grouped into two categories, the buyers and the sellers respectively. The motive was that the buyers have to purchase the maximum number of commodities with no money left in hand, whereas the sellers have to earn maximum by selling all the commodities.

Commpact organized an event, “The Maze of Secrets” on the 14th of February 2020 it was a treasure hunt where one had to use his wits and brain to win. The event started at around noon with 24 teams participating in it and was played inside the college premises. The game had two rounds. We observed a great deal of sportsman spirit among competing teams. It was an intriguing event that ended on a good note.
