Orientation Program 2020

What an eventful day it was!
Orientation 2020 was no less than a thrilling interview with all sorts of questions hitting us but more than that, we got to talk to our lovely freshers. Needless to say, we’re so excited for you all to join our team. Our recruitment process will start very soon and your journey with Commpact is going to be LEGEN…..WAIT FOR IT…. LEGENDARY!

Meme it
Date: 10th-19th October,2020.
‘Meme It’ was a witty contest, in which the participants were asked to create light hearted and hilarious IPL related memes. Meme is an image or video (typically humorous in nature) that portrays a particular concept or idea and is spread across the mass through social platforms.
The five shortlisted entries were uploaded on the official instagram handle and the meme which received maximum likes and comments was declared the winner.
Crick-Craft
Date: 10th – 22nd October,2020.
Compact in collaboration with Srijana-the Fine Arts society of Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies organized an arts and crafts competition- ‘Crick-Craft’, under IPL Fever.
Crick craft was essentially a competition based on creativity where participants had to show their artistic skills and passion for their favorite IPL team. A set of rules were laid down listing the materials participants could and couldn’t use and what would be considered as a criterion for disqualification.
IPL Auction
Date: 17th-18th October,2020.
‘Commpact’ organized an inter college activity named – ‘IPL Auction’, under the aegis of IPL Fever in association with “Happystems”. The activity was conducted online through Google forms and WhatsApp group.
It consisted of 2 rounds, round 1 was Cricket quiz consisting off 25 question with a time limit of 5 minutes. Round 2 was the auction round it was carried out through a WhatsApp group. The auctioneer presented the players one by one in the group and the participants bid them by typing in the group.
Insta Live session on Personal Branding
Date: 20th September, 2020
Commpact organized a Insta live on Personal Branding. It started at sharp 7:00 PM and our guest speaker for the same was Mr. Devan Bhalla(Deputy General Manager, Amar Ujala.
Mr. Bhalla spoke on Personal branding i.e. what exactly is personal branding, what are the steps in personal branding, how can a person built his profile and stand out in the crowd. He then addressed the Questions of the audience.
Interactive Session with Mr. Sanil Sachar
Date : 12th September 2020
Commpact organized an interactive session with Mr. Sanil Sachar (National Bestselling author, Founder,Huddle Incubator, and TedX speakers) for the launch of its first edition of E-newsletter. The session was held at 3pm and was conducted online through google meet. It was more of a QnA session and participants were allowed to put their questions in the chatbox or unmute themselves to ask their questions from the speaker. Mr Sanil spoke on various things like challenges faced by an author and journey of entrepreneur etc, he also presented the audience with his book “And Perhaps Love”. He also launched the society’s official newsletter “Vanijya”. Click below to find out more about it.
Logo Trivia
Date : 8th July 2020
Commpact organized an interesting activity named – ‘Logo Trivia’, in association with “Insightone, Travocheap, and Campuslly”. The activity was held at 5pm and was conducted online through iSpring Cloud 9. Logo Trivia was a quiz based on brands wherein the participants had to guess the brand name by looking at the brand logo and by hearing the brands’ ad jingle. The quiz gave participants knowledge about various brands.
Guess the Gibberish
Date : 5th June, 2020
Commpact in association with “Insightone, Explora Travels, and Campuslly” organized “Guess the Gibberish- Commerce Edition”. The quiz was conducted on the ‘Classmarker’ website. Gibberish are speech sounds that are not actual words, language games,or specialized jargon,and seems nonsensical to outsiders. Participants had to guess 25 gibberish phrases related to commerce. The quiz increased business and commerce terminology among the participants.
Webinar on "Careers into Financial Market”
Date : 28thMay 2020
Commpact organized a webinar on, “Careers into Financial Market” in collaboration with BSE Institute. The webinar was held from 2pm to 4pm. The online session was addressed by Mr. Himanshu Arora who gave students an insight on career prospects in financial markets and allowed them to get an answer to all their queries and doubts.
